Responsibilities

  • Document all company notes, reports and summaries
  • Ensure smooth and timely patient flow 
  • Assign and supervise the Physical Therapy Assistant’s patient care activities
  • Assign and supervise the Rehab Technician’s non-patient activities
  • Determine necessary PT based on prescriptions/referrals/patient condition/records
  • After reviewing patient records, strategize, create and carry out treatment plans
  • Track and report treatment progress; adjust as necessary 
  • Oversee all assistant, technician and student job assignments/activities
  • Give lectures; provide PT and related training for in-house staff and outside groups
  • Provide analytics and organizational oversight for the facility (payroll, filing, requisitions, etc.)
  • Keep timely documentation including but not limited to daily notes, weekly reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries
  • Assure patients are treated promptly in accordance with their scheduled appointments
  • Delegate appropriate patient care activities to the PTA in accordance with skill level and deemed appropriate by the State Practice Act
  • Supervision of all PTA activities including the delegation and supervision of non-patient care activities of the Rehab Tech
  • Evaluate and record effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit
  • Orient, instruct and direct work activities of assistants, techs and students
  • Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students and community groups
  • Analyze and organize the clinic’s operations/procedures including information management, filing systems, requisition of supplies, and maintaining and periodically reviewing compliance.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must possess a master’s or doctorate in PT 
  • Current state licensing and all other state-required documentation
  • Master of Physical Therapy Degree (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree (DPT)
  • State license to practice and any additional requirements by the state
  • Computer proficient

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers in Cumming GA is hiring a Physical Therapist!  The position can be part time or full time.  Our clinic is independently owned and operated, yet part of a vast network of over 500 clinics nationwide.  This allows you, as the therapist, to have the benefits of working for a small company but not losing access to the resources of a large one.

FYZICAL believes in not overworking our Physical Therapists, allowing them to maximize individualized care to each patient.  The goal is to treat an average of 12 patients per day.  We offer competitive pay and a signing bonus!

We are opening more clinics in the area, so any experience level can find their fit here.  If you have been practicing for quite a while, you may be the one that takes the lead here or at our next clinic.  If you are less experienced or even a new grad, in addition to working with your colleagues in our clinic, we have an internal learning track for clinicians as well as a local mentorship program established with clinician mentors at FYZICAL clinics around metro Atlanta!

Like most PT clinics, the majority of our caseload is orthopedics.  What sets us apart is our trademarked balance paradigm and treatment of balance dysfunctions.  If you don’t have much background in balance or vestibular disorders, don’t worry!Every therapist will go through FYZICAL’s continuing education program to ensure top level care for balance and vestibular patients.

Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art balance equipment including Solo-Step® overhead support systems, infrared goggles for observing nystagmus to identify specific vestibular dysfunctions, and BodiTrak balance pad for pressure mapping and performing the CTSIB.  Every therapist also has unlimited access to a large internal library of online continuing education as well as in-person classes nationwide.

We welcome pelvic floor therapists!  If you are interested in pelvic floor but haven’t been trained, we have an excellent training program with both online and in-person classes!  We believe pelvic floor dysfunction is underreported, underdiagnosed, and undertreated.  We are passionate about bringing greater access to this therapy and getting these patients back to loving their lives.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Accredited PT program graduate
  • Current state of Georgia PT license
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in an autonomous environment

  • Must be able to carry out and progress a skilled treatment plan in outpatient rehabilitation setting
  • Must be self-motivated with a willingness to learn
