Responsibilities

  • Help physical therapist provide care to patients
  • Ensure clients are being seen in a timely manner with no backlogs
  • Provide supervised assistance to patients
  • Sanitize rooms after each client
  • Some admin and office tasks
  • Assist the therapist in administering patient care
  • Maintain a smooth flow of patients through the clinic and gym
  • With supervision, set up patients on modalities; assist with their exercise programs
  • Clean tables and equipment between patients
  • Assist with clerical and administrative tasks as needed
  • Perform some laundry duties

  • Currently in college or College Degree in Kinesilogy, Health and Exercise Science

Responsibilities

 

  • Schedules appointments, coordinate evaluations and enters appointment dates/time into Prompt EMR.
  • Follows scheduling rules put in place by payors and company.
  • Answer multi-phone line
  • Greet patients
  • Gather new patient data; keep track of all patient referrals
  • Disseminate information to patients; act as a go-between for patients and physicians  
  • Collect all payments
  • Act as a patient liaison, answer any questions from potential or current patients 
  • Collect new patient intake information; track all clinic referrals
  • Fax reports to physicians; keep a log of incoming reports
  • Communicate with the Client Care Specialist Manager and clinicians about scheduling/patient arrival
