Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive new-patient evaluations and examinations.
  • Diagnose patients’ conditions and assess physical activity limitations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with clear goals and timelines.
  • Implement PT interventions and exercises, tracking patient progress.
  • Educate patients on techniques for continued care at home.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Current and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Massachusetts.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation treatment plans.
  • Ability to work efficiently and autonomously.
  • A genuine passion for helping patients with vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall risk issues.
  • Strong skills in carrying out and progressing skilled treatment plans in an outpatient setting.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning.
  • (Preferred) One year of experience in an outpatient neurological or orthopedic setting, or previous vestibular rehabilitation experience.
  • Completion of FYZICAL’s Balance Level 1 online curriculum before your first day.

Responsibilities

  • Handle patient scheduling, appointments, multi-phone line
  • Gather new patient data; keep track of all patient referrals
  • Disseminate information to patients; act as a go-between for patients and physicians
  • Send and keep a log of all reports sent to doctors
  • Verify insurance and track insurance-covered visits; take co-payments
  • Send benefits paperwork to billing companies
  • Handle all scheduling and ensuing communication
