Physical Therapist Assistant for FYZICAL PT Clinic – Portland, Maine, $28-$32/hour + bonus

We are looking for an energetic physical therapist assistant to join our FYZICAL clinic in Portland, Maine. You will work under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Director and assist in the provision of physical therapy interventions and clinic operations.  You will work in a dynamic setting with outstanding physical resources, as well as clinical and administrative support while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.

Practice Highlights:

  • A brand-new facility and locally owned by Otolaryngologists passionate about patient care, teamwork, and clinical collaboration with our therapists
  • We specialize in balance and vestibular therapy in addition to other physical therapy services including orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, concussion evaluation and rehabilitation, and pelvic floor therapy
  • Experience is not required, and training is provided. You will have access to a robust catalog of online resources and training modules within a large FYZICAL PT community.

Qualifications

  • Entry level degree in Physical Therapy/Graduate from CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • BLS Certification required
  • Exercise, manual-based skills with sports rehabilitation experience
  • Current state of Maine license or license eligible
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills with the ability to multitask while providing an exceptional experience for anyone who enters the clinic
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to use computers, telephones and perform data entry
  • Able to work independently, manage time efficiently, problem-solve and multi-task
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to collaboratively develop our clinic and mission
  • Commitment to the highest standards of patient care and respect

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week (part-time opportunities are also available)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Highly competitive compensation

Responsibilities

  • Help the PT in all aspects of patient care
  • Measure and track patient progress, informing PT of all changes
  • Carry out techniques and exercises prescribed by Physical Therapist
  • Keep Physical Therapist up-to-date on changes in patient progress
  • Help measure and track intervention effectiveness
  • Educate the patient on continuing care
