Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-desk experience.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the calendar to optimize therapists’ time.
- Answer and direct phone calls, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with billing processes, including collecting co-pays, processing insurance claims, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Coordinate with physical therapists and other staff to ensure smooth operation and high-quality patient care.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and ordering office supplies.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Previous experience in a physical therapy clinic is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office Suite) and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
