Responsibilities

Assist PT team in all aspects of patient care (Evaluations through Discharge planning).

  • Under the guidance and mentorship of our PT team, perform therapy techniques and exercises.
  • Provide education to patients on techniques for the continuation of care.
  • Conduct treatment according to established treatment plans and physicians’ orders.
  • Monitor and track intervention effectiveness and keep the Physical Therapist up to date on any changes in patient progress.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to documentation and billing for Physical Therapy Services.
  • Participate formally and informally with other team members to coordinate and establish best-in-class standards and clinical practices.
  • Assist in the selection of physical therapy techniques, set patient goals and time frames tailored to the patient’s specific needs.
  • Educate the patient on continuing care to promote a healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program (Bachelors preferred).
  • Current licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant within the state of North Carolina.
  • CPR certification (current).
  • Must be self-motivated and excited to learn new and innovative techniques.
  • Have a strong desire to grow personally and professionally.
  • Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment.
  • Demonstrate clinical leadership and ability to be coached & mentored by a Physical Therapist, and support staff.
  • Must be passionate about helping patients who have vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall risk issues
  • 1+ year(s) of outpatient neurological, orthopedic, balance center, or vestibular rehab experience with an eagerness to expand into additional aspects of wellness (pelvic, pediatric, sports, occupational, audiology, etc.) is a big plus.  However, we will teach you!

Responsibilities

  • Manage all patient scheduling, including evaluations, re-evaluations, reminders, cancellations, and multi-line phone support
  • Act a a liaison between patients, physicians, and clinical staff, providing clear communication and disseminating necessary information
  • Answer questions from current and prospective patients; coordinate arrival and appointment flow 
  • Gather and document new patient intake information 
  • Track and manage clinic referrals and ensure all required paperwork is completed
