Responsibilities

  • Handle patient scheduling, appointments, multi-phone line
  • Gather new patient data; keep track of all patient referrals
  • Disseminate information to patients; act as a go-between for patients and physicians  
  • Send and keep a log of all reports sent to doctors
  • Collect all payments; insurance verification
  • Collect/open mail; distribute mail to proper areas/people
  • Send benefits paperwork to billing companies
  • Handle all scheduling and ensuing communication
  • Answer phones, act as a patient liaison, answer any questions from potential or current patients
  • Schedule patients; coordinate evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders and cancellations
  • Collect new patient intake information; track all clinic referrals
  • Fax reports to physicians; keep a log of incoming reports
  • Verify Insurance and track insurance-covered visits; take copayments
  • Check mail; keep track of Explanation of Benefits sent from mail and fax to billing company
  • Communicate with the office manager and clinicians about scheduling/patient arrival

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3yrs experience
  • Scheduling and Benefit Verification experience a must , Billing experience a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Great communicator and multitasker, detail-oriented

The Physician Liaison works closely with our clinical team and is a brand ambassador to the community who will call upon local physicians to build a relationship and prospect referral leads to grow the patient referral base. This position is essentially a combination of sales and public relations through strategically promoting the clinics’ services and treatments while strengthening our reputation in the community.  The FYZICIAN Liaison is responsible for overseeing designated territory of physicians and medical clinics.

The Physician Liaison is critical for the success of a clinic. The Liaison not only strives to increase patient referrals, and to strengthen relationships with providers and their staff, but as a community facing representative provides prospective patients and the community with a first impression of our brand. The Physician Liaison works to cultivate positive, open and helpful relationships among community practices, medical staff and providers alike while managing feedback and strengthening our reputation. The Liaison is essentially the bridge between our clinic and the referring offices and our broader community.

Responsibilities

  • Leads initiatives to build volume and favorable provider perceptions among internal and external referral streams.
  • Develops and implements specific outreach, relationship building and marketing plans to meet goals.

  • Document all company notes, reports and summaries
  • Ensure smooth and timely patient flow
  • Assign and supervise the Physical Therapy Assistant’s patient care activities
  • Assign and supervise the Rehab Technician’s non-patient activities activities
  • Determine necessary PT based on prescriptions/referrals/patient condition/records
  • After reviewing patient records, strategize, create and carry out treatment plans
  • Track and report treatment progress; adjust as necessary
  • Oversee all assistant, technician and student job assignments/activities
  • Give lectures; provide PT and related training for in-house staff and outside groups
  • Provide analytics and organizational oversight for the facility (payroll, filing, requisitions, etc.)
  • Keep timely documentation including but not limited to daily notes, weekly reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries

  • Orient, instruct and direct work activities of assistants, techs and students
  • Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students and community groups
