Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations to assess physical abilities, pain levels, and functional limitations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on client goals, medical history, and evaluation findings.
- Assign and supervise the Physical Therapy Assistant (not yet hired) in client care activities, as well as any assistant, technician, and student job assignments and activities.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to promote recovery and prevent further injury.
- Educate clients and caregivers on at-home exercise programs and strategies to maintain progress.
- Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
- Stay on the cutting edge of advancements in physical therapy techniques and integrate evidence-based practices into client care.
- Assist with growing the practice by attending community health events and meeting with other healthcare professionals to develop referral relationships as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

- You have experience independently developing care plans and, if necessary, giving direction to the Physical Therapy Assistant (not yet hired) to provide optimal care.
- You have excellent communication skills.
- You want to teach our clients new skills.
- You are a self-starter and are motivated by serving others.
- You have experience in treating clients of all ages.
- You have a high level of organization, both professionally and personally.
- You complete your documentation while treating clients.
- You enjoy partnering with others to accomplish tasks.
- You have previous experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
- You are passionate about constantly learning. You will have access to some of the leading physical therapy continuing education related to FYZICAL’s differentiating therapeutic techniques: balance, vestibular, Parkinson’s, pelvic, and other conditions.
Your Requirements:
- Accredited PT program graduate.
- Valid NJ state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
- Proven experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and therapeutic interventions.
- Knowledge of balance and vestibular rehabilitation. Knowledge of pelvic rehabilitation is a plus. Training and certification will be provided.
- Compassionate care of all clients, including older adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and encourage clients to achieve their therapy goals.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, and assist clients.
- Prefer at least one year of working in an outpatient neurological or orthopedic center or previous vestibular rehab experience.
- Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment – a self-motivated team player who is willing to learn.
