FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers in Mentor is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone looking for afternoon hours, approximately 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM on weekdays, with the potential to transition into a full-time role as the clinic continues to grow.
This position is a great fit for individuals interested in healthcare, including students pursuing careers in physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, athletic training, or other allied health professions. Previous medical receptionist or healthcare office experience is preferred but not required.

About FYZICAL

FYZICAL is a locally owned physical therapy clinic specializing in balance, vestibular, neurological, orthopedic, and orthopedic rehabilitation. We pride ourselves on providing one-on-one care and creating a positive, supportive environment for both our patients and our staff.
As the first person our patients see when they walk through the door, our front desk team plays a critical role in helping every patient feel welcomed and cared for.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with scheduling appointments
  • Verify insurance and patient information
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out
  • Coordinate schedules and communicate with clinical staff
  • Collect copayments and process basic office paperwork
  • Maintain an organized and welcoming clinic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous medical receptionist, medical office, or healthcare customer service experience preferred but not required
  • Interest in healthcare, rehabilitation, or physical therapy
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

  • Approximately 20–25 hours per week
  • Primarily Monday–Friday afternoons (approximately 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
