Responsibilities

  • Greet and discharge patients - ensure feel welcome, comfortable and at ease, verify insurance, collect payments, and promote timely return visits and patient feedback
  • Handle patient intake and new patient data gathering, appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and ensuing patient communications including appointment reminders and cancellation re-schedules
  • Act as patient liaison - disseminate relevant information, answer questions from potential or current patients, act as a go-between for patients and physicians regarding PT plans of care (inbound and outbound)
  • Enable efficient and thorough billing practices - verify insurance eligibility and benefits, send paperwork to billing firm, track explanation of benefits
  • Enable smooth clinic operation - track all clinic referrals, manage clinic patient schedule, and adjust patient schedule when possible to account for cancellations, communicate with clinical staff

Skills & Qualifications

  • Personable with a positive attitude and empathetic toward people that are in pain
  • Proactive with a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
  • Strong communicator - proactive, clear, timely, and engaging
  • Reliable / dependable with high integrity
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task / have multiple activities going on at once
  • Adept at navigating multi-line phone system, voip communications technology, digital fax, and CRM systems
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field (or similar experience) preferred
