Responsibilities

– Assist in evaluating patient needs and developing appropriate treatment plans
– Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for home programs
– Monitor and document patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
– Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in occupational therapy techniques for treating pediatric conditions, sensory integration, feeding, and early intervention

Skills & Qualifications

Experience:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred, but newer grads welcome to apply
– Experience working with pediatric patients is highly preferred
– Proficiency in documentation demonstrating medical necessity, efficient coding, and patient results

Qualifications:
– Degree from an accredited OTA program
– Valid NC licensure as a COTA
– CPR certification
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to pediatric clients under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine clients’ strengths, needs, and areas of focus.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions to address clients’ occupational therapy goals.
  • Collaborate with other members of the therapy team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, and behavioral therapists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
  • Monitor and document clients’ progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Valid licensure as a COTA in the state of Colorado.
  • Pediatric experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
