Position Overview:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team in Parker, Colorado. The COTA will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional therapy services to pediatric clients in our outpatient clinic setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to pediatric clients under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine clients’ strengths, needs, and areas of focus.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions to address clients’ occupational therapy goals.
- Collaborate with other members of the therapy team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, and behavioral therapists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Monitor and document clients’ progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice and comply with all regulatory requirements and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Valid licensure as a COTA in the state of Colorado.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
