Responsibilities

  • Work with clinicians, evaluating/diagnosing incoming patients
  • Create patient treatment plans; order testing
  • Appraise and keep clinicians up-to-date on client progress
  • Provide patients with information that encourages ongoing healthy habits
  • Upon goal completions, discharge client
  • Assist clinicians as they perform evaluation and diagnosis of new patients
  • Order diagnostic tests as needed 
  • Develop and contribute to plans of treatment
  • Regularly evaluate and update clinicians on patient progress
  • Discharge patients when goals have been achieved

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose new patients presenting with ENT, allergy, sinus, ear, throat, head, neck, physical therapy, and related concerns
  • Obtain comprehensive histories, perform focused physical examinations, and develop accurate clinical assessments
  • Create individualized treatment plans that align with patient goals and evidence-based standards of care
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing including imaging, labs, allergy testing, audiology studies, and other relevant evaluations
  • Collaborate closely with the physician and clinical team regarding treatment recommendations, progress, and next steps in care
  • Perform follow-up visits to monitor response to treatment, adjust care plans, and ensure symptom improvement
  • Educate patients on medications, procedures, preventive strategies, and lifestyle habits that support long-term wellness
  • Identify patients who may benefit from in-office procedures or advanced specialty interventions and coordinate next steps
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record
  • Support efficient clinic flow while delivering a warm, professional, high-quality patient experience
  • Discharge or transition patients from active treatment once clinical goals have been achieved, with clear maintenance recommendations
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the practice through teamwork, process improvement, and excellent patient service

Skills & Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner (or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly)
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience in internal medicine, ENT, allergy, or other relevant outpatient setting preferred
  • Strong clinical knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for common outpatient conditions
  • Interest in or experience with ENT, sinus, allergy, ear, throat, and related specialty care strongly preferred
  • Ability to recognize when additional testing, specialist intervention, or escalation of care is appropriate
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and reassure patients clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and through electronic messaging
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, confident, and patient-centered bedside manner
  • Compassion and empathy for patients and their families during both routine and complex care situations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced private practice environment while maintaining attention to detail
