Responsibilities
Rehab Tech Support & Wellness Transition
- Assist physical therapists with supervised low-complexity orthopedic treatments.
- Set up, clean, and operate wellness technologies including Neubie and Tecar Therapy devices.
- Ensure all therapy and treatment areas are cleaned and sanitized between patient sessions.
- Support patients transitioning out of therapy by introducing them to tailored wellness and maintenance programs.
Patient Engagement & Operational Excellence
- Serve as the first point of contact, offering a warm, welcoming, and professional presence for all patients.
- Use Prompt EMR and generative AI tools to support patient outreach, follow-ups, and engagement tracking.
- Coordinate with physical therapists to follow up with patients who may need additional emotional support or motivation.
- Convert physician referrals and patient inquiries into scheduled evaluations or follow-up appointments.
Scheduling, Billing & Coordination
- Maintain accurate and efficient provider calendars using Prompt EMR.
- Verify insurance benefits and authorizations; collect co-pays and self-payments with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Communicate clearly with patients about financial responsibility and treatment timelines.
- Liaise with behavioral health providers to coordinate integrated care for patients as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in any of the following: healthcare front desk, rehab tech work, personal training, or wellness coaching.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build trust and empathy with patients.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinic environment.
- Comfortable using EMRs and learning new technology tools.
