Responsibilities

FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center Phoenix Midtown is seeking a physical therapist assistant to join our recently opened clinic in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona! Our practice is located in a newly renovated medical facility near Osborn and Central, just north of Downtown Phoenix, and is closely connected to an adjacent sports medicine and orthopedic medical practice. As a physical therapist assistant with us, you will work in an exciting and dynamic environment, with outstanding physical resources and equipment, as well as a clinical and administrative support staff that will help you effectively treat patients while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Our practice is approximately 50% orthopedic/sports medicine and 50% balance/vestibular/neuro. You will work with a healthy level of autonomy under supervision from a licensed physical therapist.

Our ideal candidate is a PTA with a strong interest or background in orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy, including manual therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Assure patients are treated promptly in accordance with their scheduled appointments
  • Delegate appropriate patient care activities to the PTA in accordance with skill level and deemed appropriate by the State Practice Act
  • Review physician’s referral (prescription), and patient’s condition/medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required
  • Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students and community groups
  • Visit medical staff, students and community groups and support our marketing efforts to educate the community on our specialties – this will be especially critical early on
  •  Analyze and organize the clinic’s operations/procedures including payroll prep, information management, filing systems, requisition of supplies
