Responsibilities
- Preparing treatment areas and equipment for patient use.
- Assisting patients with prescribed exercises under supervision, observing their performance, and documenting their response to treatment.
- Administering basic treatments such as applying ice packs or heat pads as directed by the therapist.
- Cleaning and disinfecting therapy equipment and treatment spaces, as well as changing and laundering linens.
- Handling administrative tasks, including assisting with patient check-in, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Required skills & qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Organizational detail and ability to multitask.
- Proficient in the use of computers and learning new software programs.
Preferred but not required:
- Working toward a physical therapy or PTA degree
- Knowledgeable of medical language
