At FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers – Lawrenceville (Best in Gwinnett Winner – 2025), we provide top-notch care and support to our patients, encompassing both physical therapy and holistic behavioral wellness. We are seeking a passionate, empathetic, and Bilingual (English/Spanish) Customer Care Specialist to join our team.
This part-time role is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in patient relations, healthcare administration, and marketing coordination. For the right candidate, this role has the potential to evolve into a full-time position with marketing and community outreach responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Patient Experience & Support: Conduct follow-ups with patients, particularly those facing emotional challenges with their therapy, to boost motivation and support their journey.
- Innovative Care: Collaborate closely with physical therapy clinicians to craft follow-up activities and referrals, leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance clinic operations
- Clinic Operations: Schedule appointments efficiently, ensuring a smooth calendar for patients and therapists.
- Financial Administration: Collect payments post-therapy sessions, managing financial transactions with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Wellness Check-ins: Perform compassionate check-ins to assess patients’ well-being and satisfaction with their therapy progress.
- Fax reports to physicians; keep a log of incoming reports
- Coordinate Insurance verification and track insurance-covered visits; take copayments
- Check mail; keep track of Explanation of Benefits sent from mail and fax to billing company
- Communicate with the office manager and clinicians about scheduling/patient arrival
Skills & Qualifications
Education: Current coursework or degree in Psychology, Sociology, Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish is REQUIRED to effectively serve our diverse patient population.
Experience: Medical Front Desk experience is an absolute plus, but we are willing to train smart, motivated candidates with relevant coursework or customer service experience.
Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational capacity, and the ability to empathize and connect with patients.
