Responsibilities
- Multi-task with a smile
- Answer/make calls to/from patients, physician offices, work comp companies, insurance companies
- Act as a patient liaison between patients and physician offices, work comp companies, insurance companies when appropriate
- Gather and enter new patient data; track of all patient referrals
- Schedule patients; coordinate evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders and cancellations
- Verify and enter insurance information
- Submit and track authorization requests in a timely manner
- Upload various paperwork into our computer system
- Collect mail; distribute mail to proper people
- Communicate with and send benefits paperwork to our in-house biller daily
- Fax reports to physicians, work comp requests, etc
- Print, prepare and organize paperwork for the next day
- Communicate with the office manager and clinicians about scheduling changes/patient arrival
- Help with clinic up-keep throughout the day (rooms, tables, laundry, etc)
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communicator, multitasker, and detail-oriented
- Great work ethic and compassionate/empathetic toward people that are in painÂ
- Great demeanor, positive attitude and strong integrity
- Shift is M-F, Â current need is 10:00am-6:30pm
- Punctual, ready to start at 10:00am
- Must be a team player
- We are not currently wearing masks (covering mouth, nose and chin), however, if it becomes required, then participation is mandatory due to our clientele
